Tournaments

Community tournaments that turn games into giving.

Our Bellevue-area chess events welcome new and experienced players while raising money for the materials that help kids keep practicing after the event.

Our model

Play, fund, gift, repeat.

1

Run local tournaments

We organize friendly Bellevue-area events where students, families, and chess players can compete, learn, and support a shared cause.

2

Fund material kits

Entry fees and event proceeds are set aside for chess sets, boards, clocks when available, and beginner-friendly learning resources.

3

Give families a way in

Materials go to families who would benefit from free chess resources, so cost is not the reason a kid cannot keep playing.

Event impact

More than 70 people have already participated.

Tournament days are built to feel serious enough for good chess and friendly enough for first-time players. Every entry, donation, and volunteer hour helps expand the reach of the next event.

Together, our events have raised $3,700 toward chess access and helped us get boards and materials to 20 people.
